In the heart of the Sajama National Park and in the west mountain range, the highest point of Bolivia, the Sajama summit towers out from its beautiful surrounding with plenty of wildlife and great landscapes.

Day 1: La Paz – Sajama Village.
By car early in the morning we depart from La Paz to the village of Sajama at 4200m. Camp. (LB, D)

Day 2: Sajama – Base Camp.
In the morning we will start our trek towards the base camp of Sajama Volcano. Camp at 4700m. (B, LB, D)

Day 3: Base Camp – Camp I.
Today with the assistance of porters we make a 5-hours climb to the high camp (5500m). (B, L, D)

Day 4: Camp I – Summit – Camp I.
The climb and return to the Sajama summit takes a total of about 12 hours. Camp I. (B, LB, D) 

Day 5: Base Camp – Sajama Hot Springs.
From base camp we trek down to the Sajama village and from there our transport will take us to the hot springs. In the afternoon we relax in the hot water springs together with some beers for a joyful celebration. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Sajama – La Paz.
We will have a long journey back to La Paz. (B)

Included: All meals during the excursion, professional mountain guide, camping equipment, private transportation, all entrances, and communal climbing gear, porters.

Not Included: Personal climbing outfit, meals in cities, personal expenses, tips, airport taxes, personal travel insurance.

Grading: easy – moderate – hard – very hard 

Departures: From June until September every week on Saturday.
