AAEC08      Antizana Volcano (5753m)  3D/2N

antisana

For experienced climbers, Antisana is one of the most exciting and challenging mountains in Ecuador. Nevertheless, non-technical climbers following the normal route that goes on the southwestern slopes can also climb it (of course accompanied by one of our professional, experienced mountain guides).

Day 1: Private transport from Quito to hacienda “El Hato” and then to the moraines nears the campsite at 4200m of altitude. (LB, D).

Day 2: Our adventure starts at midnight for our attempt to reach the summit (5752m) of the beautiful Antisana Volcano. We must find a route on the glacier crossed by several crevasses. Climb back to the camp. (B, LB, D).

Day 3: Return to Quito. (B, LB).
