Aconcagua Normal North-West Route (18 days)

Day 1. Arrival in Mendoza
Reception at the airport (or bus station) and transfer to your hotel. In the evening our guides will brief you about the next day’s activities. 

Note: If you need some climbing gear you can rent or buy it. Please let us know during the meeting.

Day 2: Mendoza - Puente del Inca Lodge (8992ft – 2740m)
Morning in Mendoza: Obtaining permits then in the afternoon transport to Puente del Inca village (or Penitentes). Lunch. Lodge accommodations and preparation of the loads for the mules. B, L, D.  

Day 3: Puente del Inca – Confluencias camp (10890ft – 3320m).
Drive to the entrance of the Park. Trek to Confluencias Camp. B, LB, D. 

Day 4: Confluencias - Plaza Francia (13200ft – 4025m) – Confluencias.
We make an acclimatization trek to Plaza Francia at the base of the famous south face of Aconcagua. Return to Confluencias camp. B, LB, D.  

Day 5: Confluencias Camp - Plaza de Mulas camp (14058ft – 4286m)
Long day trekking to our Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. B, LB, D. 

Day 6: Plaza de Mulas (14058ft – 4286m).
Resting day. Short trek to the Horcones glacier and climbing practices on the glacier. B, L, D.  

Day 7: Plaza de Mulas / Mt. Bonete Summit (16732ft – 5100m) / Plaza de Mulas
Acclimatization trekking to the summit of Mt. Bonete and return to Plaza de Mulas. This trekking will take about 6 hours and this activity will definitely turns on all acclimatization mechanisms in the body. (B, LB, D) 

Day 8: Plaza de Mulas - Camp Canada (16203ft – 4940m) – Plaza de Mulas
Acclimatization trek and transportation of material to Camp 1 (Canada Camp) and return to Base Camp. B, LB, D. 

Day 9: Plaza de Mulas Camp (14058ft – 4286m).
Resting day at Base Camp. B, L, D. 

Day 10: Plaza de Mulas - Camp Canada (16203ft – 4940m)
Climb to Camp 1 (Canada). B, LB, D. 

Day 11: Camp 1 Canada - Camp 2 Nido de Condores (17325ft – 5280m)
Climb to Camp 2 Nido de Condores. B, BL, D. 

Day 12: Camp 2 Nido de Condores - Camp 3 Berlin (19470ft – 5936m).
Climb to Camp Berlin. (B, LB, D). 

Day 13: Camp Berlin - Aconcagua Summit (22834ft – 6959m) - Camp Berlin.
Summit day and return to Camp Berlin. B, LB, D. 

Day 14: Camp 3 Berlin - Plaza de Mulas Camp.
Climb down to Plaza de Mulas. (B, LB, D) 

Day 15: Plaza de Mulas - Puente del Inca Lodge - Mendoza.
We trek down to Orcones Valley and then transport to Puente del Inca and to Mendoza City. Hotel accommodations. (B, LB) 

Day 16: Mendoza Out.
Transfer from the hotel to the airport. (B) 

Day 17: Extra, summit reserve day. 

Day 18: Extra, summit reserve day.  

Gross price per person: us$ 3690. –    

Tour Operators Commission: 10%

Included: all transfers, 2 night hotel (3/4 star) accommodations in twin bed room with private facilities, professional mountain guides, all meals while on the mountains (as noted: B=breakfast, L=lunch, LB=picnic lunch, D= dinner), private transport to/from Mendoza to/from Puente del Inca (or Penitentes), mules for cargo, complete camping equipment, high altitude tents, communal climbing gear (ropes).

Not included: Tips, meals and other expenses in Mendoza, Puente del Inca (or Penitentes), and Aconcagua Park Entrance fee.
